Parent Training and Support Program

It is tempting to think of an early intervention autism therapy program exclusively focusing only on your child’s diagnosis of autism rather than on the potential benefits for the entire family. At Opya, the parent/caregiver training program is an essential tool in our early intervention program for children diagnosed with autism.

Our autism parent training program helps parents/caregivers learn about autism and how to best support their child’s development. Parents/caregivers benefit from learning more about autism and how it affects their child, and the impact it may have on their family.

If you would like to learn more about our autism parent training as part of your child’s ABA therapy program in the Greater Sacramento Area, Central Valley, the San Francisco Bay Area, or the Orange County Area, we can help. Reach out to our specialists today at (888) 300-6792 for more information.

Our In-Home Parent Training Program

As the parent or caregiver of a child diagnosed with autism, you may sometimes feel overwhelmed and uncertain about what to do. Our parent training program can help you learn more about autism and how to best support your child’s development. Our parent training program includes the following:

  • Autism 101: Learning the basics about autism and how it affects your child’s development
  • Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA): Learning about ABA, an evidence-based approach to autism intervention
  • Strategies for Parent/Caregiver Support:  Tips and tricks for supporting your child’s development at home
  • Community Resources:  We connect you with local resources to help keep you and your family

Whether you are new to the world of autism or have been navigating it for some time and want additional support and skills, our parent/caregiver training program can help you feel better prepared to parent a child diagnosed with autism.

How Does Opya's Parent Training Program Work? What Should I Expect?

Our parent/caregiver training program augments your child’s therapy treatment plan. You will meet on a regular basis with your assigned Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA). Our flexible parent/caregiver training program focuses on supporting and enhancing your child’s treatment and meeting your family’s specific needs.

During our parent/caregiver training sessions, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and get feedback from our BCBA on how to implement the strategies you are learning. Our parent training program is an investment in your child’s future, and we are here to support you every step of the way.

Staying Connected Through the Opya App

In addition to in-home parent training sessions, you will also have access to our online parent support community through the Opya App. The app includes:

The Opya App is a great way to stay connected throughout your child’s treatment journey.

The Importance of In-Home Parent Training

Children diagnosed with autism are significantly more likely to thrive and develop in a comfortable environment they are most familiar with, home. Opya’s in-home care allows us to focus on your child. The same is true for our parent/caregiver training.

Our Parent/Caregiver training allows you to learn in a comfortable and familiar environment. It also allows our BCBAs to get to know your family and tailor the parent/caregiver training program to meet your specific needs.
